- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil. Add the bowtie pasta and cook according to package directions until al dente. Drain the pasta, reserving ½ cup of the cooking water. Set aside.
- In a medium bowl, combine the beef strips with olive oil, smoked paprika, Cajun seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and black pepper. Toss until the beef is evenly coated with the spice mixture.
- Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the seasoned beef strips and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring occasionally, until browned and cooked through. Remove the beef from the skillet and set aside, keeping it loosely covered.
- Reduce the skillet heat to medium. Add the butter and minced garlic. Sauté for 1 minute until fragrant, being careful not to burn the garlic.
- Pour in the heavy cream and add the cubed cream cheese. Stir continuously until the cream cheese melts completely and the mixture becomes smooth and creamy.
- Stir in the Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, and red pepper flakes if using. Simmer for 2-3 minutes, stirring frequently, until the sauce thickens slightly. Season with salt and black pepper to taste.
- Add the drained pasta to the skillet with the sauce. Toss thoroughly to coat all the pasta. If the sauce is too thick, gradually add the reserved pasta water until you reach your desired consistency.
- Top the pasta with the cooked spiced beef. You can toss everything together gently or leave the beef arranged on top as a garnish.
- Sprinkle the dish with chopped fresh parsley and additional Parmesan cheese. Serve immediately while hot.
