Dipped Marshmallows Sprinkles (Print)

Fluffy marshmallows dipped in chocolate and topped with colorful sprinkles for a delightful treat.

# Ingredient list:

→ Marshmallows

01 - 20 large marshmallows

→ Chocolate Coating

02 - 7 oz semi-sweet chocolate or milk chocolate chips
03 - 1 tbsp coconut oil or vegetable oil (optional, for smoother melting)

→ Decorations

04 - 1/2 cup assorted sprinkles

→ Optional Equipment

05 - 20 wooden skewers or lollipop sticks

# Directions:

01 - Line a baking sheet with parchment paper to prevent sticking during the setting process.
02 - Insert a skewer or lollipop stick into the center of each marshmallow, leaving enough length for a secure grip while dipping.
03 - Place chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 20-second intervals, stirring thoroughly between each interval, until completely melted and smooth.
04 - Hold each marshmallow by the stick and dip halfway into the melted chocolate. Gently twist and lift, allowing excess chocolate to drip back into the bowl.
05 - Immediately press the chocolate-coated portion into assorted sprinkles or sprinkle generously over the wet chocolate while holding over a bowl to catch excess.
06 - Stand dipped marshmallows upright on the prepared baking sheet. Allow chocolate to set at room temperature for approximately 15 minutes, or refrigerate for 5-10 minutes for faster results.
07 - Serve immediately or transfer to an airtight container. Store at room temperature for up to 3 days, separating layers with parchment paper if stacking.

# Expert Tips:

01 -
  • You probably already have everything in your pantry right now
  • These come together in literally 20 minutes but look like you spent forever on them
02 -
  • Melting chocolate requires patience—rushing it in the microwave will cause seizing and ruin the whole batch
  • Work quickly once the chocolate is melted because it starts setting up fast, especially in cooler kitchens
03 -
  • Let the chocolate cool slightly after melting so it is not scorching hot when you dip, which makes it drip less and adhere better
  • If you want extra flavor, sprinkle a tiny pinch of sea salt over the chocolate before the sprinkles go on
